The FIMO necklace - An easy polymer clay project for kids
Here at We Might Be Tiny HQ we’re always looking for craft activities that will keep our little ones busy and feed into their growing curiosity.
And polymer clay projects are top of the list when it comes to creations that are not only durable but become wearable statement pieces that your tiny human will love to show off.
We’ve picked an easy polymer clay project for kids to get you started with FIMO adventures as a family.
And one word of wisdom before you start: Once you start it’s hard to stop. FIMO can be addictive!
All you need to become the coolest parent ever is your favourite collection of polymer clay colours, a piece of string, a selection of beads and a We Might Be Tiny Stampies set.
Every Stampies set comes with a stainless steel cookie cutter, 1 wooden stamper and easily interchangeable silicone animal stamps that will be your secret weapon when it comes to making your FIMO pendant.
With 15 animal shapes to choose from, the sky’s the limit. Settle on your favourite animal or make several pendants in one go.
Why not host a fun craft party when the next birthday comes rolling around and invite the tiny guests to create their very own necklace to take home at the end of the day?

Stamp with your favourite Stampie and cutout with the cookie cutter to make your pendant. Pierce a hole in the top of the pendant with a skewer.
Place on baking tray and bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool before threading onto necklace. Add other beads or pompoms for extra sparkle.
